What is Your “Piece of Peace”?

Can we not strive for this?

You are beautiful! You are unique! YOU are YOU!

YET, you might have forgotten to ASERT YOURSELF because you might have had so little confidence in your self.

Over some period of time, there might have been some incidences of feeling neglected and it gave you enough justification  to shy away from the world, from other people; shy away from yourself until you’ve just been contented hoping to just blend into the background.

Could you ever imagine when was “that time” you begun feeling worthless?

When was it that you started changing yourself, hoping to just impress the thoughts of others?

Without you realizing, you are actually harming yourself because you’re hoping to improve … when in fact, you’re doubting your very self because you no longer feel that confident to VOICE OUT amidst those times when your thoughts and actions have just been rejected & by-passed. In effect, it gave you the only choice to just close your eyes and shrug your shoulders because you allowed yourself to feel helpless.

You no longer feel great just the way you are because you’ve already forgotten WHO YOU REALLY ARE!

You believed it when people say you’re not worthy; you stopped giving yourself the chance to gain credits despite the many striving times you’ve exerted. You’ve pressured yourself too much because you’ve allowed those chaotic, abrupt-changing systems to disturb your “simple piece of peace”.

You were supposedly to work giving out your BEST for God’s glory in an imperfect world; yet, you keep on justifying that you are “not perfect” — that is why, you’re also justifying “not being able to give your BEST” in every little thing that you do because of what you believe in.

“You can never be perfect?” What does it say about your “self esteem”?

Could you imagine what will happen to “that thing called Tadhana” if everyone of us would take care of this kind of mindset? Destiny — as a predetermined course of events may be conceived as a predetermined future.  What lies in the future would always depend upon WHAT WE DO TODAY!

Many of us would tend to complain about several “turn out of situations which doesn’t give us any choice!” — that is why we keep on “piercing our heart” with that arrow which we keep on pointing to other direction other than our own SELF!

If there should be some "PIECE OF PEACE" that we should bring to our future not only as a teacher but as a Child of God,
what do you think would that be?

  1. If we allow God to direct our path everything will be okay. God uses or allows problems, trials, discomforts in our lives for us to know His power. He has the power to fill the emptiness and the imperfection in us.God is our strength, our refuge and this direction is His will for us His Children to share that strength and inspiration to others.God’s will for all the teachers to become the molder and inspiration of their students.

  2. “A Simple Piece of Peace”
The initial reaction was over thinking when I had a feeling that something went wrong that applies wherever aspect of my life. That was the time all the negativity come across through my thoughts which made me suffer and wounded my heart. If am not mistaken it is written that the real battle is only in our mind. In that kind of situation all I wanted was serenity. Wanting all the negativity will turn into positive one. I would rather run to Jesus who will give a simple “Piece of Peace “I trust my Creator.”He who never leave us nor forsake us” (Hebrew 13:5) He Who always been faithful to His words. Holding to His promises enlighten me. It is written he whom passed the test will be rewarded. Finding myself so grateful in spite of everything I’ve been through I feel blessed. I believe that His plan is better than mine. He is the author and the finisher of our fate.
Come to realized there are many reasons why I live. Life must go on…Keep striving! No retreat no surrender. ” Soar like an eagle”. I can do all things through Jesus who strengthens me (Filipos 4:13) Nothing is impossible for those who believe (Mark 9:23) these are the word of God that inspires me…

GOD is our refuge and strength. He understand our disappointment, suffering, pain, fear and doubt. He is always there to encourage our hearts and helps us understand that his sufficient for all of our needs.
We all know that life is full of obstacle and trials, we must face it bravely no matter what.God has given us two hands, one to receive with and the other to give with. We teacher our role is to help our pupil to make them knowledgeable and be a good citizen as well. Lets do our very best to make them a productive one. But sometimes in the middle of our path there were storm that make our life negatively. We just bear in our mind, God never leaves us .Don’t worry about anything instead pray about everything.

  4. Before I entered the teaching world, I made a covenant with God. If I passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers, I will do all my might to be the best teacher. This is my way to serve God. I believe that the purpose why I am here on earth is to touch the lives of the young children. Every day is a precious day. I see to it that I imparted something in their heart and mind. At the end of the day, I can sleep well because I know in my heart that I have done my part. And that I have a “Piece of Peace”.

  5. It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. Questions like who are you? What do you believe in? What is your purpose? What fills you with joy and wonder? Are sometimes very difficult to answer.
Firstly you need to know who you really are before you can decide what it is you really want. The more you know who you are, and what you want, the less you let things upset you
God has given as all the ability to be more than our current circumstances. It is only a relentless fighting spirit that pushes us towards that expected end that he has
in mind for us. Don’t accept what people say you are. Fight to be who God has destined for you to become.

  6. For me it is a having a pure heart and being selfless. What is inside our heart will reflect through our actions and words. I think it should be our characteristics. If we have this within ourselves even though criticism may arise, people mock us still we will continue to strive and go on with our life. As long as we do not hurt anybody and does not violate their rights we have these peace with us. Like what our Lord God did on the cross an example of selflessness and pure intention. Let us do our everyday activity for the glory of God and not for men. Let’s set our heart and mind on the positive view of life.

  7. Yes, sometimes we tend to forget to give importance to ourselves because we always think that we’re not perfect and we don’t have lots of confidence in ourselves. But, did we ever tried to ask ourselves that we are supposed to give our best in everything that we do because God gives us the potential, ability, capacity, and creativity to do such thing or to show our best. However, we’re just only keeping this best that we have in a box because we don’t have confidence in life. We’re afraid of rejections. We don’t have trust in ourselves and mostly, we don’t love ourselves wherein in the first place we should love the person who’s been with you through the most tiring times. Who lied just to make you feel better. Who never stopped believing in your weird complicated excuses. Who face the consequences of your wrong doings. Who encouraged you to stand after every downfall. Who manage to be the strongest even in your weakest moment. Love this person for this person is all you got in your hardest times. You deserve to be loved by yourself and always put God first in your hearts and minds in every step that you take.

  8. I used to be an optimistic person, everything that has happened to me either good or bad, Its because everything happens for a reason. and its because I lived with faith in God.

I used to be an active church servant but when I started studying and my work was based at the Fort, I stopped doing church service. But I continued to serve the people by joining in the Rotary Club.

I’ve been through a lot of things in my personal, family and my career life that turned me in to become a pessimist. I’ve struggled with my relationship, my dad had a cancer, and my career has no growth, no improvement , I have no accomplishment from my 8 years work experienced.
I’ve been depressed, stressed, no hopes, until I stop dreaming. That’s why I stop making list of goals because it will just frustrate and it will lead me again to another depression.
But despite of bad experienced that has happened to me, I can say that my “Piece of Peace” as becoming a teacher and as child of God is.. never look back from what is in the past and live what’s in the future., like what Bo’ Sanchez say, “Your Past does not define the Future”. But of course, whatever we have learned from our past will be our guide to make it better in the future.
One thing that I’ve learned from this is.. I continue to believe in and never give up on my dreams. As long as we live in this world, we still have a chance to correct, change and improve what mistakes that we have done in the past.

  9. My Philosophy
A child is like a precious pearl came from the deepest part of the sea, deformed in shape. Just like the baby that came from a nine months stay in his mother’s womb, he is helpless and empty. The mother is the first teacher of his child. She helps him do the right things, teaches the right words and directs the path that he must take.
School is the second home of a child. She helps him do the right things, teaches the right words and directs the path that he must take. As educators we must create a curriculum that will develop students abilities to think deeply, analytically and creatively and to analyze and solve the problems to face outside the classroom.

    The Invicible Essential
The basket caught first my attention because it nearly fell in the floor, it symbolizes the child that needs attention and help. When you enter that room, sit and relax, pray to God what could we do to that messy room. God is the source of all wisdom and He will help us to organize that place. We teachers are the organizers of child’s life.
    Vision
The A+ Learning School will create achievers who have sense of patriotism, equipped with knowledge, self discipline and love for God and His creation.
    Mission
The children of A+ Learning School will mold in proper training for learning by providing them activities that would enhance their cognitive, psychomotor and good values.
    Objective
1.Teachers will utilize modern devices for improved learning and has heart that tendency cares for individual and a hand that greatly holds every learners mind to be a great contribution to the society.
2.Provide activities that will develop child abilities and talents.

  10. According to George Bernard Shaw, “ Life isn’t about finding yourself, Life is about creating yourself. I can say that I am not perfect, I do lots of mistakes, but this mistakes makes me to do my work become perfect.
I am really a shy person because of what happened during the early stage of my life, and until now there are some instances that I feel so nervous especially when I report or when I talked in front of many people. It is really hard for me to change this bad attitude because I don’t have that self confident to myself. But then I try to change this attitude. And now I can say that little by little I overcome my shyness.
As a teacher I need to give the BEST that I can do to my pupils for them to realize the importance of education. Not only teaching them knowledge but also inculcating good values. Values that will guide them to be a good citizen.
As a child of God I will always be patient in everything I do. I need to share the blessings that I received. I need to help people who are really needing.

  11. A piece of peace for me means three things. First is faith. A personal relationship with God. Only when one trusts in the Lord and allows him to rule his/her life can one say there is peace. That no matter what, God will always be there.
Another piece of peace is knowing and accepting one’s weaknesses. I believe that knowing we are imperfect would always remind us to be humble and forgiving of other’s weaknesses as well. Jealousy and other ill feelings will be avoided. Which will give also a piece of peace.
And lastly, is love. I believe that love begets love. And if this is what we’ll put out there it will not only bring peace to us but to others and the world as well.

At first I don’t know hereto to start my piece of peace but when I try to close my eyes and quietly talk to myself and feel what my heart says/tell that is the time I know who am I or what will I do to a certain situation of my life. Sometimes in our life there are changes that we don’t see or notice but that kind change we need to embrace to be a better person to improve our selves but when we change a certain things or situation in life we must not forget who we really are and what we are with the help of God. Every day in our life we face different challenges whatever challenge is that let’s always put in our mind and heart that God is always there to guide, protect and make us a better and strong person as we passed those challenges in our daily life.

In life we only traveled once..what we did for today will become tomorrow’s memory. Every step we take, and decisions we made today will surely affects the future. Life is a long journey that we have to taken, it is like a roller coaster or even a rocky road that is full of obstacles and wavy paths, we have to encounter them so that we should learn how to be strong and brave to reach the end to survive. A persons life always depends on his decisions and actions he did, if he chooses to be happy today and do he believes and tends to do he may not have doubts in the future.
In this journey of life the Lord given us all the opportunities to decide on our own, to think what we want and how we think, and do what we believe. But…are there times in our lives we sat down and asked our selves, Am I doing the right thing? the right chose in life and the right action?is it just enough that I do things because I wanted to do it? Sometimes we have to wonder and reflect in everything we did, we usually forget that everything happened is Gods will. He wanted to tell us that life can be easier if we have faith, obstacles and problems are just an ingredients to complete the essence of life. Though life is not that easy God always there to patiently guide and direct us in the life that he wanted in everyone of us. He always reminds us that though we felt so tired just keep on going, feel so helpless just trust in him because at the end of all the sufferings we felt today is a better life with him someday.

Life is full of obstacles that bring out the worst and best in us. That everything happens to us has a reason and all we have to do is just put trust in God. That whatever the situations may turn out, God’s hands are always there to hold us. All I need is to do my duties and responsibilities in this world at my best, as a family member, as a teacher/community member and as a child of God. That every steps of actions I about to perform

  17. What is piece of peace?
Before you know what is your piece of peace you need to know yourself first, because if you really know yourself, you know where you destined to be in the future. When I was a young there are many difficulties that I encountered, and sometimes I thought that when I found my peace because I felt that I’m alone and a little bit distracted. Until one day I go to the church listen to the homily. The priest said that in every difficulties that you encountered God has a reason why he gave it to us, maybe he know that we are strong that face that difficulties from that day I realized one thing. God didn’t give a problem that I can’t solve and I found my piece of peace in the Heart of God.

  19. “Piece of Peace”… I am a type of person who loves singing by means of singing I can say I have a peace of mind, heart, and soul… ‘coz singing is a kind of expressing my feelings and emotion… As I remember during childhood years I don’t like to sing instead I love to dance but then with the help of my father he trained me to sing and keep on saying “ Kapag kumakanta ka dapat galing sa puso para ma express mo ang feelings mo” in that way the song blends with passions in the ears of the listener too. Sometimes I prefers to be aloof with others, why?! It b’coz in that way I can reminisce my childhood years which has a greater impact in my LIFE… As I cherished this past I remembered the family who are my shining armor and feel safe when I’m with them. As a teacher, I keep on saying to my pupils love your family as they love U… ‘coz be a good example to your family and be open to them. Attachment and communication is very important to be happy and contented.

I have to be strong and learn to trust and believe in myself because I know that I cannot always rely to anybody. I thank God because he made me who I am now. I truly thank Him for giving me wisdom to face everything and understand myself better. I don’t try to pretend like anybody just to feel accepted and belong. Yes I have plans, dreams and I do what I want but I know in my heart that I don’t have to harm anyone just to have it, I have my family with me and friends who are so dear to me and that gives me a piece of peace.

We can have all the material things in this world, it makes no difference. Without Jesus in our hearts there is no peace. He said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. [John 14:27]. This gift of peace is for all who believe and trust in Him. Jesus died in our place to give us His peace.

  22. The piece of peace that I want to bring to my future not only as a teacher but as a child of GOD is to become a ROLE MODEL to my own child and at the same time to my pupils because I do believe in saying that ”whatever we do even good or bad, how we treated others is like the way we treated GOD” that is why being who I AM TODAY, will assure to do my part as responsible welfare to train my child and also my pupils in the way they should go as part of my mission and also as part of my profession . By means of thinking for them, acting for them and showing tenderness, affection, patience and love that cord them in which they led most easily to find the way for their heart. Let them see that we have an affectionate feeling towards them that we really desire to make them happy, and if we punish them, it is intended for their good, and that, let them see this, and they will soon be ours to mould and shape. Children are weak and tender creatures, and, as such, they need patient and considerate treatment. We must handle them delicately, like frail objects. They are like young plants, and need gentle watering often, only a little at a time. We must not expect everything at once. We must remember what children are, and teach them as they are able to bear. Their ability to understand on what we are teaching them is like the small opening of a wine bottle: we must pour in the wine of knowledge gradually, or else most of it will be spilled and lost. The hard stone used to sharpen knives does its work slowly, but frequent rubbing will bring it to a fine edge. Truly there is a need of patience in this training of a child, for without it nothing can be done. Love is the one great secret of successful training especially when we put GOD at the center of our everyday life. Nothing is impossible in this world if we believe and trust in the power of GOD .We are the one who make our destiny, we are the driver of our own. Destiny is not a matter of chance; but a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, It is a thing to be achieved.

  24. Christ is my peace. He reconciled ME to God the Father by giving his life. He died for his people (Matthew 1:21). I am a Christian this is my self-description. I believe Christ that is according to the Scripture/Bible (I Cor. 15:1-4) and has eternal life. I am a Biblical Christian. If I am a Christian, I have everything because Christ owned everything and I am with Him.

THE BIBLE DECLARED THAT GOD DECREED EVERYTHING TO HAPPEN.

The Death of Christ was predetermined by God:

(Acts 2:23 ISV) After he was arrested according to the PREDETERMINED PLAN and foreknowledge of God, you crucified this very man and killed him by the hands of lawless men.

(Acts 2:23 KJV) Him (Christ), being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

GOD PLANNED EVERYTHING. GOD DOES WHAT HE PLANNED OR PLEASES.

(Eph 1:11ESV) In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him WHO WORKS ALL THINGS ACCORDING TO HIS THE COUNSEL (PLAN) of his will,

(Eph 1:11 KJV) In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

    (Dan 4:34 ESV) At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and praised and honored him who lives forever, for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom endures from generation to generation;

(Dan 4:35 ESV) all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and HE DOES ACCORDING TO HIS WILL among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and NONE CAN can stay his hand or SAY to him, “ WHAT HAVE YOU DONEW?”

GOD CONTROLS THE HEART OF MAN.

(Prov 21:1) A king’s heart is like streams of water in the LORD’s hand: He directs it wherever He chooses.

It is MY COMFORT to know that God works everything according His plan because He is good, just, righteous, and wise God. He is the absolute controller and ruler of his creation. This is my peace.

1st is my Spiritual peace is having Faith in God. It is a personal relationship with Him. Your level of peace is directly related to your level of trust in God. The more you trust God, the more you will experience peace.
2nd is my Piece of Mind is having a state of maturity. I don’t need to worry about anything or somebody. I lift all my worries, fear and anxiety to God. The key to relaxation is peace of mind.
3rd is my Physical Peace is having a healthy mind, body and soul. There is harmony among them. Having in good physical shape to serve the Lord and do his will.
4th is my Emotional Peace is having total happiness and contentment. It is difficult to have a self control in any emotion on a certain situation. Do not continue the battle. One may think they have won because you choose “Silence”. But the true winner is the one with “Peace in their Heart”
True and lasting inner peace can never in external things be found. It can only be found within in. And then, once we find and nurture it with ourselves, it radiates outward. – Buddha-

Inner peace eventually, leads to external peace. By creating peace in your inner world, in your mind, you bring it into your external world, and into other people’s lives.
A positive or negative influence from a teacher early on in life can have a great effect on the life of a child. What influence are we going to offer if we don’t have that piece of peace to create a positive influence on our students.
Each time I would start getting worried about the future, I would make a proactive choice to physically get up from the place I was sitting and walk to the table to start painting on my sketchpad. Sometimes I would go outside to unwind with my friends. And most of the time I would go to church and pray because in the midst of troubles, peace can be found in JESUS . Although we can expect some trouble in this fallen world , the good news is that we can count on Jesus for peace in troubled times.
As a person and a teacher there are a lot of trials that I have encountered. Some of these trials made me doubt of myself. I’m so shy and scared to show all the things I can do. It resulted me to have a low self-esteem. I’m so nervous everytime I am standing and talking infront of many people. Most especially in my first teaching experience. There are some people who put me down ,until then, I realize that I must learn to be more patient and tolerant with my students, family, friends, co-workers, and everyone else. I believe that everything happens for a reason that it’s God’s will that’s why despite of all these obstacles I have gone through I can say that it made me a better person and no matter how big the problem that I may encounter in the future
. I don’t have to worry because I have a great big God who is far bigger than my problems .He always give me that PIECE of PEACE. All is well with HIM.

I believe that Faith is like a flashlight – no matter how dark things seem to get, it will find your way. As an individual you must not be afraid to fail. Do not accept what other say you are. Fight to be who God has destined you to become. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to guide and help my students in fulfilling their dreams … to become a person they want to be.

Some of us usually spend their daily routine in thinking how to have peace in their lives and feel worry less. But the mere fact that we extend our time in thinking how to get peace doesn’t make us feel good at all. The peace that we are searching turned out to worry.

God wants us to rejoice in His presence. If we have Jesus in our hearts everything will be fine.

-Matthew 10:34-36 – Think not that I am come to send peace on earth
Expect rejection, expect failures, expect all the worst in this world, but walk with FAITH. God prepares best place for us. Do good, be good to others and love the unlovable.

-1 Peter 5:7 – Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
I kept this verse when I was still in high school and college. But I really need this now as a teacher and I’ll keep this forever. GOD LOVES TEACHERS.
