Some business leaders in an International report contended that “Investing in Early Childhood Education is one of the wisest things we can make!”
Considering the fact that “Children from 0 to 5 can’t fight for themselves to get a better start at life,” they say that this is not just an economic issue, but the moral justice issue of our time.
To align with the promotion of Universal Kindergarten, the Philippine Educational System instigated the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program. Supported by UNICEF, such program intends to deliver the best start for all children and to contribute to the Global platform for Primary Education. Collaborations have been in occurrence with government & private associates to promote a holistic approach to early learning and to bring in, series of actions for each child’s progress. Parental Involvement is also enhanced, in coordination with educational advocates, so as to appropriately aid the children in their first five years’ crucial development.
However, despite the investment of time, treasure and effort towards the emerging Four Themes in Early Childhood Education, it turns out that we are still facing major issues that need to be addressed amidst pressing times in terms of: [1] the ethic of social reform, [2] the importance of childhood, [3] transmitting values and [4] a sense of professionalism.
On [1] Ethic of social reform, we are currently experiencing inequities & mediocre child care. There is still the deep need for social justice since the goal of closing the achievement gap between disadvantaged and minority pupils have not been realized as of yet.
On [2] The Importance of childhood, sad to say, children of today have no choice but endure “an endangered childhood” because there is so much emphasis on survival, while kids are chaotically exposed to reality and adult experiences. Families, where they belong are under different forms of stress such as restoration of relationships, too busy working parents who rarely have quality time with them, parents who are working their way to the edge just to fight poverty, and the likes.
On [3] Transmitting values, adults as we are: parents and stakeholders, we more often than not forget that “Early learning is powerful!” In a majority of instances, we are caught unaware by our own reactions and viewpoints along with the confronts of media’s exposure of violence, tragedy & social diversity – with which, children are subconsciously developing some kind of behavior, if not deep scar or trauma, especially if we’ve reacted unconstructively.
On [4] Professionalism, not many of our stakeholders are persistent in an advocacy of passionately fulfilling “a better start at life” service in the field of early childhood. Teachers are not given proper and significant training to help them deal with children when differences arise between the cultural patterns of the home, community and those of the school’s.
Fantasy and reality in the minds of young kids are not separate things. Innocent as they are, they have that strong expectation that adults will respond to what they need – in which case, we’ve got to harness the discrepancies between their make-believe and reality, otherwise, we are not giving them THE BEST START that they should get. However, being confronted with the above-mentioned matters in reality, wouldn’t we worry that we may disappoint the youngs of our time? Would you agree that this is more of a moral justice issue rather than economic?
Being both A FACILITATOR OF LIFE and a CURRICULARIST, would it then still be wise to Invest in Early Childhood Education? Please share your idea.

For me Early Childhood Education is both moral and economic issue. It is a moral issue because all of us (parents, teachers, and society) has the moral responsibility to properly teach and guide our children at their early age until they reach the age of majority. It is also an economic issue when we send our children to formal school, especially in private schools. The cost of education is a big issue because most of us do not have the “economic freedom” to support our children’s education.
Parents, Teachers, and the Society should have the responsibility to educate, guide and discipline our children during their childhood so that they will become “desirable and productive” citizens when they grow-up. We are the role models of our children. They look upon us. They imitate the things that they have seen from us. We should act appropriately in front of our children, if not at the very best we can be, at least should act the way we should be.
It is true that Education starts at home. Children were taught of what is good or bad by their parents. Basic education were introduced to them in preparation to formal studies in school. However, there are situations that parents do not have the liberty of time and money for their children’s education. Lucky are those children whose parents are working to earn enough money. Fortunate are those children whose parents are wealthy and have plenty of time to spend with them. However, in reality, it is unfortunate that most of the Filipino families live in poverty due to “Katamaran”, lack of discipline, corruption in government, and among other adverse situations or misfortunes that a family had experienced.
The government must do something to alleviate Filipino families from poverty. The government should create jobs for every Filipino and prioritize the education of its people, not only children but every deserving citizen who wants to learn and have a formal education.
Poverty alleviation is not easy. We must do our share. We should not only rely on government’s support. We should work harder to earn a living. If possible, let’s start our own business that will create more jobs. Let’s help the government to improve our lives. Let’s pay our taxes so that the government will have enough funds for its projects and operations, especially for education.
Teachers as educators have a great contribution in poverty alleviations in this country. They mold the minds of their students and prepare them in the real world. Teachers should give their best in teaching so that their students will learn the best from them. Accordingly, the government should allocate enough budget for education and pay the “best salary” to the teachers.
There is a saying that best student was taught by the best teacher and it is also true that experience is the best teacher. As a teacher it is my opportunity to help my pupils to become a productive citizen in the near future. Despite of many difficulties and problems in our educational system, a dedicated teacher will find ways in order to give a quality education to her pupils. If a child cannot learn in the way we teach, we must teach in a way the child learn. Relating to our children’s education, it is wise to invest in “Quality Early Childhood Education” so that our children will experience and learn things at their early age. They will understand things in proper perspective through the guidance and teaching of the best teacher.
Learning is a continuous process. It should start at the early stage of our lives. It takes a BIG HEART to SHAPE a LITTLE mind.

The earliest years of a child’s life are key to predicting ultimate success in school and life. Children deserved to get off to a good start of life. Their early experiences in the home, neighborhood, in child care and in the early education program such as kindergarten all affect how successfully they will be later in life.
Our government should be clear about what we expect children to be able to do when they enter school so that early education can be geared toward specific measurable goals. More coordination is needed of the full range of early childhood programs and Department of Education should work to ensure adequate teacher training
and curriculum development. Full funding should be provided for Head Start and similar programs as well as kindergarten in public schools, thereby giving all children a good shot at entering school ready to learn. Children in child care should also have the opportunity to receive quality age-appropriate care.Quality early education can produce important long-term improvements in the intellectual and social
development of disadvantaged children. However, many families, but particularly low-income families, do not have access to quality child care and early education programs. Our government (DEPED) should invest more in both the quantity and quality of early care and education and not squander the opportunity for potential gains for children.
As a Facilitator of our future leader and as Curricularist, we need to consider our clients (parents, children and other stakeholders) what are the things that they need, what are the right interventions in every child to make them understand all the learning that they need to know for their future life. We need to be TRUSTED ENLIGHTENED ACCOMMODATING CAREFUL and HEARTY (TEACH) to our pupils so that, they know that we are here to support and encouraged them that they can do it what ever obstacle they may encounter for their future.
A BETTER QUALITY EDUCATION TO EARLY CHILDHOOD MAKE US DIFFERENCE TO THEIR LIVES AND TO OUR COUNTRY. LET’S GO TO CONTINUE AND IMPROVED OUR EDUCATION/CURRICULUM FOR THE EARLY CHILDHOOD.

– A moral Issue?
Early Childhood Education has a big role in child’s development. A child’s experience in Early Childhood Education can have a long lasting effect on his or her ability and achievements as an adult.
YES, ECE is a moral issue that should be prioritized in our educational system. We should all aware of the major issues that can affect the High quality Early Education. It is imperative to address the issues in order to ensure successful development of children.
EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE and DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM supports ARTICLE XV SECTION 2 ” The right of children to assistance including proper care and nutrition and special protection from all formsnof neglects, abuse, cruelty, exploitation and other conditions prejudicial to their development.”
This article helps us realize our big responsibilities in child’s development. In educating children, all must be involved. Let’s start with the parents, they should be the first to educate their children at home what is right and wrong. Family has a big impact to a child’s attitude. I believed that poverty is not the hindrance to provide education for our children. It is for the parents how they do their responsibilities. The involvement of parents in school is a big help to a child’s interest to go to school everyday.
Teachers are the parents of the children in school. Parent-Teacher communication is very important for child’s development. The issue is…we are aiming the High-quality Early Education but how. The government and educators should go hand in hand to solve major issues in Early Childhood Education. We should focus and understand the needs of children to overcome all these issues. Teachers must be provided their needs in teaching so that the needs of the children would be attained. Aside from teachers and parents, other stakeholders have their responsibilities also.
As a facilitator of life and a curricularist I would still invest more in Early Childhood Education, as I stated above that children need strong foundation in education for their to face and survive life with moral.
HIGH-QUALITY EARLY EDUCATION is the best profit that we can get in investing EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION!

The bottom line is that children impoverished conditions. If this crisis is to be solved in the long term, for me the grinding poverty needs to be seriously addressed since this is the root of the problem why children now a days are really endangered in our society. Empower parents by providing them with jobs to keep body and soul together and chances are good that their children will be off the streets, and in school with education and empowerment and an overhaul of police perspective. Really sad this is a very long term problem even before, and I really hope that the new administration has to do something about this so that we can say that there is a development and genuine progress of every individual. Being a teacher is really hard for me to conceptualized all the pains, the suffering of every child. But what I supposed to do is to pray and gave 100% understanding of my pupils, I will let them see how world is beautiful to live in.

As an educator, I have seen with my own eyes what a good early childhood education can do to a child’s life. It changes the values and attitude of a child towards school which greatly affects the future years of learning. It allows the child to have dreams at a young age which makes them value knowledge and education which in turn produces good, responsible and quality citizens. And these are the kind of people our country has been pleading for in ages.
But, take note of the word “good”. Good is education does not come from small classroom with a big class size. It does not come from 1:50 student teacher ratio. Good education does not mean being provided with educational toys that can’t be fully utilized by the teacher because of the fear they might loose it and worse pay for the missing pieces. It does not mean being given with books which a child cannot even write on. And good education will definitely not come from overworked, stressed and underpaid teachers who are still confused with whether to focus on teaching or paper works.
Our government cries for good citizens. But in turn, they should also provide quality education. Specifically great and well crafted early childhood curriculum with good classrooms and a conducive learning environment. Teachers should also be well trained and well paid. This will not happen if they (we) will invest a little. If you invest so little would you expect your money to return big? Definitely not. We should give more, to earn more. And education begins with preschool years. It is the foundation of learning. Our country has yet to see what return of investment they will acquire once they do this but it is high time for early childhood education to be given the attention it should have been given for the past decades for none other than our beloved country.
The bible said in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” And it begins with a good early childhood education.

For me its more on economic issue.
Living in a third world country like the Philippines entails various components on how survival guarantees in every citizen. A question of what is the main priority and needs defining the different aspect of an individual. A lot of factors contributed from the government and the countrymen on how the sociopolitical and economical aspects will be raised compared from the giants outside.
Gearing towards the process, an individual is the primary component on its fulfillment. Knowledge, skills, abilities and values will jelp to gauge and one of the main foundation is EDUCATION.
Nowadays, refraining from having a higher- quality educatiin depending on the status of a certain family will always be the basis in sustaining or getting the type of education that they wanted. Underprivileged especially the poor ones will surely prioritize the basic needs for survival and practically, education is not on top but finding diverse opportunities can be of help. Realistically, education is an opportunity not a PRIVILEGE.
Yes, I believe investing on education at an early age is a more strategic and tactical way for someone’s endeavors. Come to think of history, military men and alliances showed values, knowledges, tactics, weapons etc before they fight. Surely failure will employ once leaders and armies were not prepared before battle. It’s not a defeat not physically but more on mentality.
Foundation is very important to start with a certain matter. It will basically mold the insights, perception, beliefs, choices and lifestyle at an early age.
If there will be high- quality education at all age, a higher chance of having a good foundation that will be a basis towards the growth of a person.

Inevitably, the issues on Early Childhood Education could be both economic and moral.
Economically on the fact that providing education to children from 0-5 would mean an extra financial effort from the government.
Morally because we need to develop children at their young age the values they needed in order to produce well maintained mind to be successful in the future.
It is an open fact that in order to be a successful country, EDUCATION should be prioritized.
Producing people with great capacity of facing the technological world ahead, requires a very appropriate fundamental beginnings.

That is why Early Childhood Education is A Moral Issue. This is the start for every person character. Character that can bring a person in good or bad direction.
Strong/Solid Foundation can bring a person in the Good Future.
In building a virtuous future, Strong/Solid Foundation is very important. This is the first step and this is the primary of every person character. Character that they can use to have a good future. Future that can help other people. People that spread the good values, believes and knowledge.

Toxic stress experienced early in life such as poverty, abuse or neglect, parental substance abuse or mental illness and expossure to violence lead to life long problems. Because what happens in early childhood can matter for a lifetime. To successfully manage our society’s future we must recognize problems and address them before they get worst.
Education must begin in kindergarten. The early social experiences instill a belief in the value of education and joy of learning. Kindergarten teaches skills like patience and perseverance and learning these skills early contributes to later success. But of course we need the full support of the family, community, school heads, teachers,authority, and government officials.
Family members must live together in peace and harmony. To acchieve this, each member of the family must be aware of their duties and responsibilities.
Family and community engagement is vital part of a truly successful school. Teachers can go above and beyond, however, the best results can only be expected what parent and community support exists. Parents are prominent role model in a child’ s life. If the parents does not respect the school staff or value education the child maybe unmotivated to learn.
School heads and teachers are responsible to give quality education. But one great problem of teachers, they suffer from long working hours due to unlimitted paper works and deadlines of reports. They also spending too much time in the preparation than teaching their students. Yet, not properly compensated. Because the salary compared to the value of expensess (food, education, bills, medical…) still not enough to support their family. Still teachers will look for second job to sustain the needs. This will resulted to stress and anxiety, and who will suffer most? STUDENTS!!!
Authorities and government offials must stop corruption. Because it is one of the big factors that contributes to poverty, a problem that doesn’t seem to end. Because of corruption, funds getting short for health, education, agriculture and other important matters. One way to stop corruption is to start from our selves. Do not sell your votes!
The big question is, how to solve the issues and concerns? Parents, community, school heads, teachers, and government officials must work hand in hand to support the children and lead them to better future.

For me, investing in Early Childhood Education is both a MORAL and an ECONOMIC issue. It becomes a moral issue when parents disregard the importance of ECE in the lives of their child. Some may not send their child to Day Care Center and Kindergaten just because they thought that every learning starts in Grade One. There are also parents who do not have time to sit by their child and review with them the skills their child learned that day. Spending time to teach with children makes learning more easier. Parents’ MUST serve as the FIRST teacher. They should not rely everything to the school. Also, when family problems arises like separation, it affects the emotional and mental state of a child. The child’s mind is so disarray that he confides the problem to himself or herself, has no motivation to go to school resulting to absentism and can cause bullying to classmates. When financial crisis arises to the family, the best choice of parents is to go abroad. Parents should be with their child in the early years.
Early childhood education becomes an economic issue if the Government does not do anything to resolve the common problems of this country. These problems associates to education. Poverty resulting to hunger, no job vacancy, and low salary are some of the economic issues to resolve. The government must also provide parenting seminars to every barangay and barrio about the importance of education, parenting style etc. Seminars must be provided to teachers as well to improve their ability in teaching.
Everyone not only the Government must work hand-in-hand to promote lifelong learning to the angels of hope of our society.

I think that the problem we are facing today is more of a moral justice issue rather than economical. Because of the modern trends that we are now having, adults tend to neglect that children are children. As young as they are they are being expose to the reality of adult living. We have high expectations towards them. Presence of technology and media are everywhere, easily accessible. Making them easy prey and victims to social media delinquencies.
Children needs proper guidance. Due to the fast changing highly technological world, children are used to “instants”. Adults may think that it is more convenient but what we do not know is that we teach them to be less attentive and be more impatient. We are getting busier and busier. Our focus is shifting from what is more important to less important. We substitute personal attention to material things. Instead of giving quality time to our children we give them material things.
I think it is never an economic issue. It is a moral justice issue. The world is fast changing and so are we. Parents and teachers sometimes forget that children needs guidance and proper nurturing. It will not happen in an instant. It is a gradual process. Perhaps the best thing we can do is to help educate the parents that children do not need much of the material things that we have today. We have to be responsible in the upbringing of children. What they need is a family who will guide them and support them holistically.

Yes it is more of a moral justice issue if we let these children live in a world full of lies and negativity. Children from 0-5 can’t fight for themselves to get a better start of life, that’s why Early Childhood Education is very essential, where moral development occurs. Morality is our ability to learn the difference between right or wrong and understand how to make the right choices. Children’s experiences at home, the environment around them, and their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social skills influence their developing sense of right vs. wrong.
At the same time it is also indeed an economic issue, though nearly everyone agrees that early childhood education is a top priority, it is often difficult to agree on how to fund it. We need our leaders from both sides of the aisle to prioritize our children. We also need smarter, more innovative ways to funding early learning programs.
Education is an essential step in pulling people out of poverty. It is imperative that we give children a strong start to their development as early as possible.
The benefits to an ambitious national investment in child care and early childhood education go beyond helping children and their families. “Such an investment would mean a more equal, more just, and more prosperous society.”

For me , The big question is : What does a high quality early childhood education program look like? A high quality early childhood education program provides a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children.
We all know that Early childhood is generally defined as birth through age eight. While growth and development can be seen in some ways as a continuum from birth onward, we know that there are some significant changes at certain ages and stages. The shift from early childhood to middle childhood is one of those significant changes. For this reason, an early childhood classroom should look, sound, and feel different from an elementary classroom.
As a teacher who embrace an emergent literacy philosophy understand that there is not a certain point when literacy begins; it is a continuous process of learning. Literacy develops best in real-life situations as opposed to contrived settings, both in and out of school. Teachers also need to teach from the heart and not from the book. I think it would be better to know the family background of our pupils, the lies and dislikes, and of course their behavior at home and in school.
According to Nelson Mandela ” Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” As a teacher lets teach our pupils the best that we can… Teachers can make a difference. Love our pupils will all your heart.

As an early childhood teacher, you will be challenged to find new experiences to share with children. Guide children, do not lead them, and move in a direction that interests the child. As a guide, allow the child to choose their learning and playing style while making safety your number one concern!
A teacher knows everything. Become a partner in learning and encourage children to find their own answers instead of providing the answers for them. By being a partner, teachers learn with the children and share in their experiences.
For me teachers must support learning by providing activities and materials that children find engaging. By facilitating learning, supplying a developmentally appropriate environment, interesting materials, and adequate time to explore, play, and interact, children find learning easy and fun!
Teachers should nurture every child. Nurturing a child encompasses all aspects of development: social, emotional, cognitive, and physical. In every interaction, a teacher should nurture appropriate growth and development.
Teachers must also take care to listen to a child
including interpreting words and actions. Listening carefully helps teachers determine a child’s needs and aids in furthering the child’s development.
Teachers communicate with many people
throughout the day: parents, children, support staff, the general public, and administrators. Early childhood teachers must be prepared to communicate with all of these people. You should feel comfortable opening up, asking questions, seeking advice, and sharing your experiences.
Teaching is full of many responsibilities, roles, and challenges. Like most worthwhile endeavors, it brings both challenges and rewards. Be flexible and you will more readily enjoy the rewards of teaching young children.
For me if we make these things possible we can achieve our goals and that is to gain quality education to all.

I always see a person’s development as making a building. It needs a good foundation. If there’s no strong foundation, it will be weak and will be at risk to crumble. It will not be able to stand tall and strong carrying all the weights as it gets bigger. Some may survive if they put necessary scaffolding but if they keep a blind eye to it, it will not last for so long.
If we put enough importance form the very beginning in making the building, we will not have any difficulty as we develop it the same with people. Having a strong foundation from the start aka our childhood will give us a greater possibility that we will grow up with good morals in life and will be able to handle our growth positively. With this, we will be more productive as a human beings.
Businessmen believe that investing in early childhood is one of the wisest thing that we did. Why? It is because good childhood will give us good adults and good adults will make someone a good employee that will be able to work for their company with greatness and will help them prosper. Which is really a good point. In addition to that, it will also produce good citizens that will also help our country to grow in all aspects.
But it is sadly still one of the ideals and not yet the reality. It is hard to fight the hindrances and the circumstances in life. Poverty is one. It will greatly affect one’s development no matter how hard you study and send our children to school. If they are in an unhealthy environment, it will be no doubt that it will mix to the nature of the child. Another, the morals of an adult. Again, it all depends on how they grew up. Some may think that it is up to you on how you take on life while others will teach you that stepping on others will make you ahead of them.
There are still a lot of factors and challenges. We only just need to do our best and have the same goals for a better future.

Learning is crucial for children whose age group is between 0-5 years old. It is when a child learns his fundamental characteristics and behavior. Children in this generation are smarter than the previous. They are always excited to acquire new knowledge even at an early age. I believe that early childhood education is both moral and economic justice depending on the place where the child lives. Families who live in a more developed areas do not face too much issues economically but more of moral issues. On the other hand, those people living in a less refined places have economic problems but less of moral issues.
It is true that the government have plans regarding the enhancement of primary education. However, some less developed areas lack facilities, educational materials and teachers. Even if the child is eager to learn, they lack resources. Since there are insufficient number of teachers and classrooms, they have to squeeze themselves in a small room or have shifting schedules. Also, the roads that they walk on in order to get to school are not yet furnished because their local government do not have enough budget given by the administration. All these may get the enthusiasm of a child to study and result to poor primary education.
In this time, it is common that both parents are working to give their children a better future. But, the consequences of these actions affect their children. Some parents, instead of teaching their child some basic concepts or ethics that would help their child build his own personality; they do not give much attention. According to Bandura on his Theory of Social-Cognitive Learning, a child learns from what he sees and the result of the model’s action. If a child observed that two adults are physically hurting each other and they don’t get reprimanded, a child may become violent in the future. Also, children should enjoy their childhood. However, because of family issues, they do not enjoy much their childhood. They instantly think that they should be the one to understand the situation and think like an adult.
If a family is experiencing poverty, they see education as their escape towards brighter future. Despite for the fact that education is important for them, formal primary education is somehow being neglected. There are children at a very young age, help their parents. Sometimes, they do baby-sitting for their younger siblings. They cannot enjoy childhood fully at this rate.
Terrorism can hinder the early learning of a child. Their environment is not peaceful that’s why they cannot go to school or stay in one place. The top priority will shift to security than education. Also, they might be traumatized and result to not be able to speak or may have an effect on their social aspect.
In general, early childhood learning is very important on the child’s development. Their childhood will have an impact on their fundamental behavior and their core personality as a human. It is the responsible of the adults to make sure their child’s welfare. Also, no child should be deprived of life’s experiences during childhood. It is a must that the adults around them ensures the continuous and successful learning of a child at an early age.

The emotional, social and physical development of young children has a direct effect on their overall development, that is why understanding the need to invest is so important, so as to maximize their future well -being. The entire future of the child depends on the parents teaching training and their environment. It says, that good parenting starts with the construction of trusting relationships and works continually to build on the foundation of trust.
Teacher share a significant responsibility preparing the young people to lead and develop the right strategies to be productive and successful in life. Yes, to education system that trully respond the needs of poor children and contribute to wealth creation in communities take the issue of poverty into special consideration in the planning of educational services.
Education : Changing Lives”Edukasyon ang solusyon”. Preparation of all children to achieve at school and enhance their self-confidence to enable them to improve their lives that cures and alleviates poverty.

Well for me the moral justice issue and the economic issue should be tackled together at the same time. We cannot address these issues separately. We all can agree that children from o to 5 is the best start in life. It is the crucial stage of life in terms of a child physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. It is a time when children particularly need high quality personal care and learning experiences. However children from 0 to 5 have different needs due to their different status in life. Some may be more well living and some maybe less. Their different status in life can be a major factor in their childhood education.
So I do agree that ethnic reform,the importance of childhood, we transmitting the necessary values and professionalism should be exploited farther and be more on hand style to make it work and succeed in the future.

I think as a facilitator of life and a curricularist, investing in the Early Childhood Education is one of best things that we can do for today’s generation. In a world full of people already deviating from the values of this life, transmission of Values is of utmost importance. I agree when it has been said that “Early Learning is Powerful”. As we all know, Early Childhood Education is the foundational stage in one’s education life. It should be the stage wherein full support, effort and assistance shall be rendered. I couldn’t agree more with the saying that goes “It is easier to build strong children than repair broken men”

For me as a parent it is wise to invest for my children early childhood education because I believe that nurturing and giving them the best of education at the early age is very important As a parent it is my commitment and mission to fulfill to help my kids achieve their dream and ensure their success. Solid foundation of education is the key for them to succeed in life.
Whatever issue that we have today in our education system is something that we need to face and deal with it and we cannot resolve it overnight but it will never be the reason not to provide quality education for our children. Let us look on the brighter side of life let us help our society and our children not to be deprive for their rights of quality education because we cannot deny the fact that our children is the hope of our country. Their failure is our failure too.

Education is one of the most important part of our childs life. They learn in different ways and absorb a lot of information each day and much of the learning takes place in school. Every child therefore has the right to education because it transforms their lives and helps them break the cycle of poverty that traps many families. So it is still wise to invest in early childhood education.
Early childhood is the most crucial phase of human development. This is the stage were influences during the childs’ development can be irreversible. The best way to improve a childs early development is through education with the support of the parents. Recognizing the importance of early childhood is about respecting the rights of every child and the responsibility of parents to support the child physically, emotionally and financially. Giving quality early childhood education will create a great impact on the child and giving an opportunity to effect social change and to break cycles of poverty and inequality in the future. Moreover, parents greatess responsibility on the childs education is to build the bridge to success.

My thought about this matter is more than economic. This is the moral justice issue of our time. Early childhood is a moral concern because of the ways in which values are central to all its ventures. It is often argued that with the changes in society that we have experienced such as industrialization, access to information,technological revolution and access to media and cultural intervention.There has been an attrition of traditional values more particularly a shift in moral values. This phenomenon starts right from early childhood education consolidated during childhood to adolescence to adulthood.
A model of early childhood education as a moral concern would support schooling based on respectful, democratic relationships and partnerships within services and recognition of the many ways children learn and develop their own phase in these processes and of the diversity of their life chances.
Our arguments for improved services for our little learners and their families for instance: appropriately qualified staff and for respectful, responsive programs maybe strengthened by publicly acknowledging pre-school education as a moral concern.
I strongly agree that investing in early childhood education is one of the SMARTEST INVESTMENTS that we can make. studies have proven that children who show up to pre-school statistically speaking do very well about their education. They graduate in high school and college and the rest is history. It’s about time that government together with the stakeholders should work hand in hand to enhance and fully develop the program for these younger learners. Even the investors clearly stated that investment in high quality pre-school education pays better dividends than the stockmarket for the life of a child. But is more than economics. It has everything to do with moral values as a person grows up do what everything they can be and be everything they can be.
We keep on wondering what went wrong, why our country is not progressing, why are we like this and that? We find ourselves in a great distress for we don’t have a prepared workforce because they won’t prepared from the beginning. Truly indeed, if we are not prepared we’re going to spend the rest of our time repairing. If we give focus on this matter our “Kids of today can make a better Tomorrow!!!”

Education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world. Through education, pupils gain knowledge and skills, enabling them to become productive members of society. So it is wise to invest in early childhood education.
Teaching in early childhood education is considered as one challenging role of a teacher because the pupils’ minds are still developing. There are lots of ideas to be imparted to them.They said that if the pupils who are taught and learned well as early as their pre- school stage, they are most likely to perform competitively as they reach higher grades. We believe that through education it gives enlightenment to the pupils life but parents need to have full support and determination to their children financially, emotionally and physically in order for the pupils to the attain their goals with the help of the teachers in continuing in guiding the pupils in their right tract.

Precisely! It is best to invest in Early Childhood Education! This is the stage where we build a Solid Foundation in Education. Without their meaningful and enjoyable experiences in early childhood education,the remaining years of their life would be dull and worthless.
0-5 years of age is the most critical stage in a child’s life. They must be provided with the extraordinary happy experiences inthe early childhood education. If not,they would not truly appreciate the education process in the future!
The parents themselves should see to it that since they are the first teachers at home must ensure that their child is learning good things from them. Through them,what behavior a child has in school is what they adapt from home. May kasabihan nga tayo,”kung ano ang nakikita sa matanda ay ginagaya ng bata.” As parents and adults we must be vigilant and watchful about our actions because young children easily imitate it. How could we transmit positive values to a child if negative values are being observed in adults?
As facilitator and teacher in early childhood education we must provide an extraordinary and enjoyable experiences in a child’s life. Your influence as a teacher is for a lifetime. We should dare to listen heartily to their personal experiences at home. Remember that not all children have a happy family life. Through us we could let them feel that there is someone who cares for them and willing to listen. We are an instrument to achieve success in a child’s life in the future!
Moral Values are not being taught in a child. Rather,they caught it from the enviroment they belong the parents, teachers, and the people they are with everytime. As an adult, be mindful and be sensitive because the young children under our care are watching us. It can make or ruin the life that you want them to have in the future!
Always be a good example to transmit a Moral Values!
