Paper Tower! Ah at first I can’t think off on how I can make this paper tower of mine stand. I said it will not, coz the air pressure is their and besides it’s only a piece of paper! But by then I realized that I can make it stand even for a short while. It reminds me about the dreams that we have, In order to fulfill this we need to be patience, hardworking and strong. The taller it is, the taller our dreams may come true. It’s not impossible that we can do it. And for that there will be no challenges anyone can cope up if we really believe in God and of ourselves. Just be strong, have faith and the rest leave it to God.
1.Seasons of Life
Life is full of miracles sometimes it goes up and sometimes it goes down,sometimes goes left then sometimes goes right.Life goes in different direction just like seasons.God gives us a choice to choose the right or wrong.Being a teacher,I really encountered different circumstances like problems with the kids,with the parents and even in school but this is not the reason to destroy my life.I really believe thet in every problem there is a reward just always think positive and also keep in touch with the Lord.
2.What is your point of view of traditional and progressivist?
Traditional means “teacher-centered”wherein the theory was not focused enough on children actual learning experiences.It also ignoring the capacities and interest of the learner.It also focuses on subject matter.In progressivist,it is “child-centered” it believes that the knowledge be related to the childs own experience.My insight in this both theories are directly proportional it goes together because without the learner and the teacher this is no process of learning and teaching.Learning was understood if the relation between the children’s mind and the object of knowledge (the teacher) united.

I am Jovelyn P. Almonte residing at Block-175 Lot 27 Bougainvilla St. Pembo,Makati City.Peresently teaching in grade one public school located in San Joaquin Elementary School at San Joaquin Pasig City.I am married wth two children a boy and a girl.I’m taking up ECE because I believe that I need to know and enlighten my knowledge and skills in teaching young children.

As I go through all I want in life is to live in harmonious life,a simple living with democracy,to help young children,and serve the Lord with all my heart,together with my family.

I agree that progressive points of view of curriculum, which is defined as the learning experiences of individuals. In other words, it’s a learner-centered curriculum. I am a believer in Christ. I believe that every child have the right and equal opportunity to be educated. In a progressive approach, the learners are active participants, problem solvers and planners. The kids learn while having fun through play, direct experience and social interaction. Teachers act as facilitator and encourage children to follow their interests, pursue problems in a way that makes sense to them and defend their conclusions by explaining their thinking in a variety of ways. We engage students with hands-¬on activities and design challenges across the grades and subject areas inspiring greater interest, depth and understanding. We view mistakes as important opportunities for both learning and assessment. In this approach the community is an extension of the classroom. Parents are also involved in the learning process by which they are the planners, goal setters and serve as resources. My name is Analou Lizo Loya, I am 32 years old. I am from San Juan City. I’m still single and I am looking forward to have my own family someday. I am a family oriented person. I am taking up MAEd in Early Childhood coz I love teaching very much. I believe that learning is a continuous process; it never ends that’s why I am now taking this course. I am so eager to get more strategies, techniques and ideas about my profession especially in early childhood.

My Timeline
This year 2015,my plan is to have my own career and family mission statement,
I need to have a clear one year plan that clarifies my mission and identifies how can I achieve it.If this career and family mission statement is my compass,my one year plan is the road map or I called it a “timeline.”Why one year?Because one year is realistic amount of time that is neither too short that can help me to prepare for the other years.This timeline will help me for more consistent goals for the coming year.
These are the following components of my 2015 timeline:
Family
1.Start time deposit in bank under joint account with my husband.
2.Be able to settle the tuition fees of my son this February.
3.Avail of a loan to buy a house and lot.
Work
1.Maintain a consistent performance with my co-workers.
2.Achieve higher compensation before the year ends.
3.Try to set up small business at home with earnings.
4.Create some teaching strategies that something different with others for better future.
5.Conduct seminars and one of the speakers .
6.Continue my studies on M.A.
Recreation or Leisure
1.Limit going out shopping with my family and friends.
2.Have one major family vacation this summer.
3.Be able to take out my family at least twice a month for family bonding.
4.Have a grand vacation in Hongkong with my Family.
This timeline may look ambitious but it does induce me in question to work in goals that I can achieve.Through faith in God,nothing is impossible.

Reflection on door activity
For me I chose door which is slightly open, 2014 opens great opportunities for me to become a better person and professional. It’s been a great year for me because of the many good things happened and changes my life. Part of what I wanted is to become a public school teacher and it came true this year which I feel so blessed. This year also opens my mind to enroll in MA Classes which I enjoy a lot. The reason why my door is slightly open, I do believe that there’s lot more to come. I am hoping and praying that someday it will be widely open. Just like a dream that can come true someday soon. We just have to start now.
Reflection on DOTS activity
I believe that everything started in a dot. A dot needs to be connected to other dots to make a portrait of something or a better picture. When connecting dots it is never easy, we need to think first what dot to be connected with other dot. There are instances that we pause for a while and rest and then continue again. But there are times that dots remain just a single dot because we never wanted to continue or connect all the dots. If we are eager enough to achieve or reach our goals in finishing the connected dots we will give our precious time to continue what we’ve started. After all the pauses we’ve done and doubt “Are these dots can be connected?” I do believe with prayers and making one step forward towards your goal will make a big difference.

A child is like a precious pearl from the deepest part of the sea deformed in shape just like a baby which came out from a nine months stay in his mother’s womb he is helpless and empty. The mother is the first teacher of his child. She helps him do the right things. teaches the right words and directs the path he must take,
School is the second home of a child. It is an institution that helps his curiosity for learning is harnessed and enhanced. A place whose child abilities, skills can be developed. As educators we must create a curriculum that will develop students abilities to think deeply, analytically and creativity and teach them to analyze and solve problems they will face outside classroom.
My door in 2014 was widely open because many blessings came. I can say that, I was lucky in terms of my career in teaching because I was able to make some accomplishments in my group. In my term, as a Kindergarten School Coordinator, Our school won during District and Division level for Munting Talento. My classroom became an entry for the kindergarten school MODEL CLASSROOM in our Division. It was the most and biggest accomplishment I ever made of course with the help of parents, close friends, co workers and our supportive principal. In terms of my professional growth it was good because I was enrolled in MAED ECE which may help me to become successful in my teaching career. Lastly in terms of my family, I was lucky to have a loving and caring husband who always there for us no matter what. I have a cute little boy who make us happy in every moment and gave us undying admiration. Both sides of our family are in good health. 2014 is very memorable year for me and for this year 2015 I am praying and hoping that everything that might happen will be in accordance and guidance of our Lord to be strong in facing all the challenges. Through the guidance of our Almighty, I pray that the plans I am thinking for the whole year 2015 will happen with His blessings.
To Ma’am Gail, thank you very much for requiring us to have this timeline even if I’m a kind of person that do not really planned for the future because I am totally focusing only to what is happening in the present. I believe that we can never know or tell on what will really happen to us. Only our Lord can really know. Let us always remember that we are the ones who make our destiny base on His plan for us. Making a timeline for the whole year really gives me a hard time to think, but I realize in some points that having a timeline will equip us to envision our better future we will be able to have a pattern for every activity where in we can process our setting goals, outlining tasks and schedules to accomplish these goals. As I quote according to Convey, “BEGIN with the END in MIND means to begin each day, task, or project with a clear vision of our desired direction and destination, and then continue by flexing our proactive muscles to make things happen. All things are created twice.” We create them first in our minds, and then we work to bring them into physical existence. By taking control of our own first creation, we can write or re-write our own scripts, thus taking some control and responsibility for the outcome we create our scripts using our imagination and conscience and because of this passage it leads me to realize how important to have a timeline that is why it will be easy for me to come up with my own, this is how my timeline goes:
JANUARY: Of course embracing the New Year with positive vibes and attitude to be able to have a fruitful future in all aspects in my life. This month is very significant for me because this is the time when I was born and become who I am today this is the reason why I always give time and importance to celebrate my birthday together with my family, relatives and friends.
And because I have many responsibilities due to my position in my work, I was able to make all the requirements needed to be accomplish like preparing all the reports needed for this month not only to the school that I was working but also for my MAED ECE to start doing the requirements to be pass to our professor.
FEBRUARY: Setting of plans in preparation for our moving up as part of closing program of kinder pupils. Conduct meeting with my fellow teachers regarding this matter and also in preparation in administering our SREYA for our pupils. Since this month is Love month I’m going to celebrate this with my loving husband and family also making bonding with my friends.
MARCH: Getting ready for all our pupils for the moving up presentation and also doing necessary requirements in line with the preparation of our pupils to the next level.
Start doing and checking all the requirements needed to accomplish for my MAED ECE.
Lastly, to attend the school program of my cute little son he already attended school at his early age and he belongs to kinder.
APRIL: Excited for the summer vacation, spending time with my family and able to have swimming as our bonding moment for my family it can be also a reunion for us. Lastly is to have a reflection during holy week.
MAY: Will start to do the schedule of kinder for SY 2015- 2016. Set schedule for meeting to orient my fellow teachers specially the new comers in preparation to opening of the class. Prepare instructional materials. Clean and prepare my classroom to be conducive for learning.
JUNE: Enrol to my MAED ECE. Get ready on the first day of the class. Assure to accommodate all the pupils on the first day and let the pupils feel that they are secure and important by showing and making them feel the love and care by emphasizing through the actions of the teacher that learning is fun. Face the new challenges with positive vibes. And also getting ready for my son on his first day of school. Last but not the least is to celebrate the birthday of my dear eldest brother and also my brother in law.
JULY: Is to celebrate the birthday of my loving husband, my brother and my niece. Prepare and guide my son in his school activities also prepare some activities in our school in line with nutrition month.
AUGUST: Planning and preparing activities in preparation of BUWAN NG WIKA. Conduct meetings with my fellow teachers in regards to administering the checklist.
SEPTEMBER: Celebrate the birthday of my dear sister. Conduct meetings to my fellow teachers regarding the fieldtrip. Starting choosing at the same time trains pupils to be a representative in school for a competition in Munting Talento.
OCTOBER: Organize the celebration birthday of my loving mama. Getting ready for my pupils into school level competition of Munting Talento . Celebrate the World Teacher’s Day. Doing the requirements for my MAED ECE. Will spend the short semestral break to my family.
NOVEMBER: Go to cemetery give time to the members of the family who passed away. Practice our pupils who are representing our school for the district competition. Conduct meetings for my fellow teachers in regards to administering the mid-year SREYA assessment test.
DECEMBER: Preparing our contestant for division level of Munting Talento. Giving and sharing month where in we can feel that the spirit of Christmas is really in the air. Excited for the Christmas vacation to spend time with family and relatives after a long period of working days.
I pray that, all the things that I planned will happen in accordance and guidance of our Lord.

Traditional means “teacher-centered”wherein the theory was not focused enough on children actual learning experiences.It also ignoring the capacities and interest of the learner.It also focuses on subject matter.In progressivist,it is “child-centered” it believes that the knowledge be related to the childs own experience.My insight in this both theories are directly proportional it goes together because without the learner and the teacher this is no process of learning and teaching.Learning was understood if the relation between the children’s mind and the object of knowledge (the teacher) united.

I am Jovelyn P. Almonte residing at Block-175 Lot 27 Bougainvilla St. Pembo,Makati City.Peresently teaching in grade one public school located in San Joaquin Elementary School at San Joaquin Pasig City.I am married wth two children a boy and a girl.I’m taking up ECE because I believe that I need to know and enlighten my knowledge and skills in teaching young children.

Each of the four seasons in life offers a fresh and vital insight for those who take the time to look and think.
Winter – invites us to quiet the mind, still the soul. This is the best time to dream big & plan as well.
Spring – is the time of growth, renewal of life, sowing new seeds and coming forth of new ideas.
Summer- is the time of light, expression and wholehearted action.
Autumn – a season of transition. This is the time taking stock of all bounty and provision we’ve been offered. A time of itemizing our blessing and recounting of joys.
As a teacher, pray for our students who are entrusted in our care, be the best teacher to the best students and encourage each one to reach for the stars.
I agree that progressive points of view of curriculum, which is defined as the learning experiences of individuals. In other words, it’s a learner-centered curriculum. It relates knowledge to the individual’s personal and social world and how he or she defines reality. According to Gerome Bruner, knowledge is a model we construct to give meaning &structure to regularities in experiences.
I am a believer in Christ. I believe that every child have the right and equal opportunity to be educated. 2.What is your point of view of traditional and progressivist?
In a progressive approach, the learners are active participants, problem solvers and planners. The kids learn while having fun through play, direct experience and social interaction. Teachers act as facilitator and encourage children to follow their interests, pursue problems in a way that makes sense to them and defend their conclusions by explaining their thinking in a variety of ways. We engage students with hands-¬on activities and design challenges across the grades and subject areas inspiring greater interest, depth and understanding. We view mistakes as important opportunities for both learning and assessment. In this approach the community is an extension of the classroom. Parents are also involved in the learning process by which they are the planners, goal setters and serve as resources. I believe each child learns best not by reliance on normative standards, testing or passively consuming knowledge, rather that each child learns best by actively constructing their own understanding based on his or her knowledge, skills and experience.

My name is Analou Lizo Loya, I am 32 years old. I am from San Juan City. I’m still single and I am looking forward to have my own family someday. I am a family oriented person. I am taking up MAEd in Early Childhood coz I love teaching very much. I believe that learning is a continuous process; it never ends that’s why I am now taking this course. I am so eager to get more strategies, techniques and ideas about my profession especially in early childhood.

My Timeline
This year 2015,my plan is to have my own career and family mission statement,
I need to have a clear one year plan that clarifies my mission and identifies how can I achieve it.If this career and family mission statement is my compass,my one year plan is the road map or I called it a “timeline.”Why one year?Because one year is realistic amount of time that is neither too short that can help me to prepare for the other years.This timeline will help me for more consistent goals for the coming year.
These are the following components of my 2015 timeline:
Family
1.Start time deposit in bank under joint account with my husband.
2.Be able to settle the tuition fees of my son this February.
3.Avail of a loan to buy a house and lot.
Work
1.Maintain a consistent performance with my co-workers.
2.Achieve higher compensation before the year ends.
3.Try to set up small business at home with earnings.
4.Create some teaching strategies that something different with others for better future.
5.Conduct seminars and one of the speakers .
6.Continue my studies on M.A.
Recreation or Leisure
1.Limit going out shopping with my family and friends.
2.Have one major family vacation this summer.
3.Be able to take out my family at least twice a month for family bonding.
4.Have a grand vacation in Hongkong with my Family.
This timeline may look ambitious but it does induce me in question to work in goals that I can achieve.Through faith in God,nothing is impossible.

For me I chose door which is slightly open, 2014 opens great opportunities for me to become a better person and professional. It’s been a great year for me because of the many good things happened and changes my life. Part of what I wanted is to become a public school teacher and it came true this year which I feel so blessed. This year also opens my mind to enroll in MA Classes which I enjoy a lot. The reason why my door is slightly open, I do believe that there’s lot more to come. I am hoping and praying that someday it will be widely open. Just like a dream that can come true someday soon. We just have to start now.
Reflection on DOTS activity
I believe that everything started in a dot. A dot needs to be connected to other dots to make a portrait of something or a better picture. When connecting dots it is never easy, we need to think first what dot to be connected with other dot. There are instances that we pause for a while and rest and then continue again. But there are times that dots remain just a single dot because we never wanted to continue or connect all the dots. If we are eager enough to achieve or reach our goals in finishing the connected dots we will give our precious time to continue what we’ve started. After all the pauses we’ve done and doubt “Are these dots can be connected?” I do believe with prayers and making one step forward towards your goal will make a big difference.

A child is like a precious pearl from the deepest part of the sea deformed in shape just like a baby which came out from a nine months stay in his mother’s womb he is helpless and empty. The mother is the first teacher of his child. She helps him do the right things. teaches the right words and directs the path he must take,
School is the second home of a child. It is an institution that helps his curiosity for learning is harnessed and enhanced. A place whose child abilities, skills can be developed. As educators we must create a curriculum that will develop students abilities to think deeply, analytically and creativity and teach them to analyze and solve problems they will face outside classroom.

My door in 2014 was widely open because many blessings came. I can say that, I was lucky in terms of my career in teaching because I was able to make some accomplishments in my group. In my term, as a Kindergarten School Coordinator, Our school won during District and Division level for Munting Talento. My classroom became an entry for the kindergarten school MODEL CLASSROOM in our Division. It was the most and biggest accomplishment I ever made of course with the help of parents, close friends, co workers and our supportive principal. In terms of my professional growth it was good because I was enrolled in MAED ECE which may help me to become successful in my teaching career. Lastly in terms of my family, I was lucky to have a loving and caring husband who always there for us no matter what. I have a cute little boy who make us happy in every moment and gave us undying admiration. Both sides of our family are in good health. 2014 is very memorable year for me and for this year 2015 I am praying and hoping that everything that might happen will be in accordance and guidance of our Lord to be strong in facing all the challenges. Through the guidance of our Almighty, I pray that the plans I am thinking for the whole year 2015 will happen with His blessings.
To Ma’am Gail, thank you very much for requiring us to have this timeline even if I’m a kind of person that do not really planned for the future because I am totally focusing only to what is happening in the present. I believe that we can never know or tell on what will really happen to us. Only our Lord can really know. Let us always remember that we are the ones who make our destiny base on His plan for us. Making a timeline for the whole year really gives me a hard time to think, but I realize in some points that having a timeline will equip us to envision our better future we will be able to have a pattern for every activity where in we can process our setting goals, outlining tasks and schedules to accomplish these goals. As I quote according to Convey, “BEGIN with the END in MIND means to begin each day, task, or project with a clear vision of our desired direction and destination, and then continue by flexing our proactive muscles to make things happen. All things are created twice.” We create them first in our minds, and then we work to bring them into physical existence. By taking control of our own first creation, we can write or re-write our own scripts, thus taking some control and responsibility for the outcome we create our scripts using our imagination and conscience and because of this passage it leads me to realize how important to have a timeline that is why it will be easy for me to come up with my own, this is how my timeline goes:
JANUARY: Of course embracing the New Year with positive vibes and attitude to be able to have a fruitful future in all aspects in my life. This month is very significant for me because this is the time when I was born and become who I am today this is the reason why I always give time and importance to celebrate my birthday together with my family, relatives and friends.
And because I have many responsibilities due to my position in my work, I was able to make all the requirements needed to be accomplish like preparing all the reports needed for this month not only to the school that I was working but also for my MAED ECE to start doing the requirements to be pass to our professor.
FEBRUARY: Setting of plans in preparation for our moving up as part of closing program of kinder pupils. Conduct meeting with my fellow teachers regarding this matter and also in preparation in administering our SREYA for our pupils. Since this month is Love month I’m going to celebrate this with my loving husband and family also making bonding with my friends.
MARCH: Getting ready for all our pupils for the moving up presentation and also doing necessary requirements in line with the preparation of our pupils to the next level.
Start doing and checking all the requirements needed to accomplish for my MAED ECE.
Lastly, to attend the school program of my cute little son he already attended school at his early age and he belongs to kinder.
APRIL: Excited for the summer vacation, spending time with my family and able to have swimming as our bonding moment for my family it can be also a reunion for us. Lastly is to have a reflection during holy week.
MAY: Will start to do the schedule of kinder for SY 2015- 2016. Set schedule for meeting to orient my fellow teachers specially the new comers in preparation to opening of the class. Prepare instructional materials. Clean and prepare my classroom to be conducive for learning.
JUNE: Enrol to my MAED ECE. Get ready on the first day of the class. Assure to accommodate all the pupils on the first day and let the pupils feel that they are secure and important by showing and making them feel the love and care by emphasizing through the actions of the teacher that learning is fun. Face the new challenges with positive vibes. And also getting ready for my son on his first day of school. Last but not the least is to celebrate the birthday of my dear eldest brother and also my brother in law.
JULY: Is to celebrate the birthday of my loving husband, my brother and my niece. Prepare and guide my son in his school activities also prepare some activities in our school in line with nutrition month.
AUGUST: Planning and preparing activities in preparation of BUWAN NG WIKA. Conduct meetings with my fellow teachers in regards to administering the checklist.
SEPTEMBER: Celebrate the birthday of my dear sister. Conduct meetings to my fellow teachers regarding the fieldtrip. Starting choosing at the same time trains pupils to be a representative in school for a competition in Munting Talento.
OCTOBER: Organize the celebration birthday of my loving mama. Getting ready for my pupils into school level competition of Munting Talento . Celebrate the World Teacher’s Day. Doing the requirements for my MAED ECE. Will spend the short semestral break to my family.
NOVEMBER: Go to cemetery give time to the members of the family who passed away. Practice our pupils who are representing our school for the district competition. Conduct meetings for my fellow teachers in regards to administering the mid-year SREYA assessment test.
DECEMBER: Preparing our contestant for division level of Munting Talento. Giving and sharing month where in we can feel that the spirit of Christmas is really in the air. Excited for the Christmas vacation to spend time with family and relatives after a long period of working days.
I pray that, all the things that I planned will happen in accordance and guidance of our Lord.
