Its Time to Free Yourself

What is your picture of God in you?

Today at The Feast San Lorenzo, we realized that our merciful God does not want us to be the greatest punisher of our self because of our mistakes in the past.

Friend, pwede tayong maglambing kay God by confessing our sins so that we can free ourself from the shadows of our own unforgiveness. Minsan kasi ang yabang natin, we keep on running away from God’s love kaya we dont get what we deserve; instead, we get what we think we deserve because of the guilt that we have in our heart kasi we do not humbly confess to God kung saan tayo nagkamali. We also do not forgive ourself the way God wants us to kasi sometimes our disorientations are being mixed up, specially when we are already guilty.

God has that magic detergent that would wash away our sins which is called “forgiveness!” Out of His great love, He is telling us now that WE HAVE NOTHING TO PAY — for there at the cross, He already paid for our sins.

Kaya friend, wag na tayong pakipot, let’s free ourselves na from that thing that has been punishing us for the longest time! God loves us so much that He wants us to change our picture of Him in our life. Let us forgive ourself because God has already forgiven us. 🙂

That time we change our picture of God,

Would be the moment we will appreciate and enjoy God’s love. God will protect us from any sort of dirt in pir life and asure us that WE HAVE NOTHING TO PAY because He loves us unconditionally.

EGO TRIP

self discovery, self acceptance, self awareness
Journey Within

Pls Read God’s Silent Message: John 6: 1-15

QUICK SELF-TEST:

[1] Have you ever gotten THAT CHANCE “to look in the eyes of your child” when he/she tells you what he/she feels? – or

[2] have you even TRIED TO LISTEN – not to those spoken words but to such yearning HEART?

[3] What about giving those words of approval when your partner has been striving for something he/she loves doing? OR [4] have you ever had the initiative to say sorry when you’ve been weak to be slow in anger?

If your answer is a TRUTHFUL YES, God could surely be SMILING AT YOU right now because you’re SEEING YOURSELF IN OTHERS!

If on the otherhand, you give some “philosophical” EXCUSES which ACTUALLY give a “NO” answer, you might then be needing some BRAVE SOULS “to HELP YOU REALIZE some perpectives – and I am praying po that today’s gospel could be one FEARLESS avenue which I hope you’ll GRAB REFLECTING ON.

God sometimes throw questions to us to see what’s in our heart just as He did to Philip to TEST his generosity and to Andrew for his faith when he doubted how the 5 loaves & 2 fishes from that little boy could feed many?

True as it is, we do not feel other’s yearnings when they are MOST IN NEED because of such an excuse: “we cannot give that much”. Even more, we’re entertaining that fact that they deserve what they’ve got and we’re making it a justification for us not to show affection no matter how difficult things are becoming for them.  Far BITTER, we don’t even spare them any of our glance so that we totally do not see how much CONCERN or even the LEAST CARE they’d even deserve to get from us since they’ve been serving us all the way.  Without us knowing, we’re already being so UNFAIR since despite our unaware INCONSIDERATIONS, GOD STILL ALWAYS PROVIDES even if we’re to that point of believing that we’re not directly asking after all  – which gives us the concept that everything that we have is because of our own effort.

Such concept is creating A LOUDER VOICE within us. Study reveals that if our voice is louder than the normal tone, that is an indication that we do not hear our self well. Not so big deal to worry about though; but being aware at that, yet we do not do anything to overcome, such state could eventually hinder us from hearing some voice of wisdom because we’ve allowed too much noise deep within us.

If we cannot see our “self” in others, we need to spend some TIME to JOURNEY INTO OUR OWN SELF; strive to discover some hidden issues to be settled, “let go” of our own hurts & guilt, pray & realize that the forgiveness that we should give to those persons na sabi natin ay “di natin mapapalagpas ang ginawa sa atin” should be that same forgiveness that we should give to your OWN SELF because several times in our life, we’ve also wanted to receive that forgiveness from those we’ve hurt.

self relationship, self to self
Take time for this!

Dear Friends, “that chance that we never grabbed looking into a child’s eyes”, let’s GRAB IT FOR OUR SELF –for we should always be God’s CHILD each time we ACCEPT some “lessons to be learned”.

Life is short! Our days need not be numbered before we would realize NA DAPAT IWAS EMOTIONAL STRESS kasi even when we sleep, our heart gets tired kasi ayaw tanggapin ng pride natin ‘yong dapat nating matutunan. This doesn’t exempt me po, I’ve been talking to myself when I’m in silence, I’ve asked for forgiveness & been turned down several times because of misinterpretations; but lifting things up to God in humility makes me hope that the people God asked me to mission-out are A WORK IN PROGRESS. At dahil dyan, SMILE NA! Let’s keep life SIMPLE para MORE JOY! #sunset /@ProfGail67[twitter]/@gailmontero.47/blogs@trendingprof47.wordpress.com

THE REAL ESSENCE OF BEING AN ENTREPRENEUR!

Pls Read God’s Silent Message: MARK 6:7-13

If you make LOVE your motivation,

YOU CAN make this world a better place!

Yet, if you are an Entrepreneur, as I’ve said “YOU ARE” during the earlier part of this Series, YOU SHOULDN’T FALL in LOVE!

Ironic, right?

We wouldn’t really understand unless we STRIVE TO FEEL BEYOND!

Today’s Gospel while we also end this Series, SHOULD BE A GREAT REMINDER of what makes JESUS, ENTREPRENEUR: THE GREATEST BUSINESS MODEL IN THE WORLD.

Looking into Jesus’ BUSINESS STRATEGY:

  1. He REACHED OUT when He sent the 12 Apostles to perform cleaning-up tasks to the 12 tribes of Ancient Israel for whom [towards the future: Rev 21.21, 25-26] He prepared 12 Gates in the Four-Walled Glass City of God which are always open to welcome the glory of all the nations into it.
  2. He TRUSTED & WORKED WITH A PARTNER when 7 He summoned the Twelve and began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over unclean spirits.
  3. He GAVE ASSURANCE of His Presence with His Partners when 8 He instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick.
  4. He WAS CONCERNED about HOW THEY WOULD FEEL along the way that’s why He told His Partners 9 to wear sandals but not a second tunic.
  5. He PROVIDED MOTIVATION — for He was sure that there will be REJECTION all along. 11 Whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you, leave there and shake the dust off your feet.
  6. He OFFERED COMPROMISE & HEALING OF RELATIONSHIPs each time the Disciples anointed with oil those whose unclean spirits were cured.

NO ONE would ever find it easy to JUST GIVE-IN to somebody’s directives specially if along the way, we’re bringing with us the justifications of OUR PAST and the attitudes that we’ve already been used to, all the days of our life.

IN LOVE, we should STRIVE NOT TO FALL!

Falling in love is just an indication that we’re giving-in to that temptation of being impatient, stiff in understanding, EGO-CENTERED whose pride we protect against any insult because we are “in authority”, abusive, insensitive, unpredictable, hot headed, desirous of others’ approval in the midst several unrecognized pretenses which are at times at the expense of hurting another’s compromise.

IN LOVE, we should instead strive to GROW.

— no longer with our OLD SELF, no more of the baggage of the past

— enough of “doing our own thing” because we aren’t LONE-NOMADs!

God is SENDING US “TWO BY TWO” to train us TO THE REAL WORLD OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP – the LIFE that we’re ENTRUSTED WITH!

TWO-BY-TWO STARTS A FAMILY!

If WE CAN make LOVE our motivation,

WE CAN make this world a better place – but it SHOULD all begin @HOME!

— the perfect place to LEARN & EXPERIENCE that

THE REAL ESSENCE OF BEING AN ENTREPRENEUR

is to HUMBLY show that there is GROWTH IN OUR CHARACTER

and that WE are God’s presence to the people within OUR FAMILY!

Afterall, it’s never too late! WE STILL HAVE TODAY! Let’s MAXIMIZE TIME#sunset

love, couples, family, growth

Give God that chance!

Responsibility, own actions,
We should be responsible of our own actions!

If people keep on doing bad things to us,

we should be responsible of our reactions.

Yes its ok to get mad all because we justify our vulnerability

— but we should learn to CONTROL our emotion —  for if we get too mad, “sino ba ang talo?”

Sometimes we allow ourSELF to be enslaved by our anger until it makes us “caught unaware” that it has gotten its way into our very being which drains us “to the max” and makes us  “so down and out

We’re not getting any younger for us not to realize that no blemished intentions should ever take control of us.  Not that easy though … but if at such tempting time we would try this strategy:   “Breath things out to God and

God will give you the peace that you need!

— surely, It will lead you to nothing but tears and sobs then it will make you slumber to a good sleep — a chance for God to tell you in your dreams that you just did a great job for Him: for CONTROLing YOUR TEMPER!

Visible Invisible SIGNS.

Gospel Reading, 6th Sunday in Ordinary Time: Mark 1: 40-45

gospel reflection, forgiveness, love, understanding, family life, visible, invisible
This may make us “leprous” …

Ang totoong paghingi daw ng tawad ay ang pagpapatawad muna natin sa ating sarili sa pagkakamaling nagawa natin. This happens by reflecting on what we did and “putting ourself in place of the person na nagawan natin ng kasalanan” para maramdaman natin kung gaano tayo nakasakit– hindi lang ng damdamin kundi pati ng pagkatao ng nagmamahal sa atin. If we will be humble enough to do this in our solitude, we will realize that our actions are already blemishing “God’s image & likeness” IN US. If on the other hand we will be protective of our pride because we did not reflect on our actuations & attitude, no wonder … we would never understand why the person we’ve offended opted to give us that “silent response” which made us hate that person all the more — instead of striving to prove the “sincerity of our sorry”. God has His ways of penalizing – not really US – but OUR DISOBEDIENCE. That “leprosy” which He allowed to struck Miriam in the Old Testament [Numbers 12:12-15] may still have a lot of manifestations in our modern times.

Whatever is “unclean in the inside” soon becomes “visible at the outside”

Sometimes, we’re just too proud to point our finger to others when we are “in isolation” – yet, we do not realize that while we do, our prevalent actions would indicate our “self-inflicted pains” because we didn’t open our heart to deeply understand God’s signals. But then again, laging kagaya ng dati, kahit na gaano natin “itulak si God palayo and no matter how hard we throw Him all the insults and blames”, STILL, with all of His RELENTLESS LOVE, He would sacrifice being pained even when we strongly resist that persistent HUG which He hopes to pacify us.

40 “If you will, you can make me clean.”
–Naamam, a lepper

SHOULD we also learn this humility, “we will no longer be leprous” — when we surely know that God will always be moved with pity and touch us. As much as God replies with His 41 “I will; be clean.”, Dear Friend, Brothers & Sisters, Dear Child, may we also affirm our commitment: “I will Love, forgive myself & allow myself to BE LOVED!” Let us be a symbolic rock so that UPON US, God’s church shall be VISIBLE! #sunset

Uso pa ba ang “Film Developing”?

A Negative Film.

It is processed in a so called dark room. The film is soaked in chemical, then soon, images appear more beautifully from negative to positive.

May mga pictures na minsan ipinipilit na ibigay sa atin pero minsan tinatanggihan natin kahit na sa totoo lang ay maganda naman ang ipinapakita nito.

Sometimes we want to live our own life and we want people to leave us alone, kasi we are annoyed by those who are there, offering the best that they have exerted their effort to.

We neglect them, we reject their offers, we mis-interpret their intentions until such times  when our reactions would put us to a test.

“I don’t need your service!, It doesn’t mean a thing to me!

You do not understand me at all, sayang lang time ko!

‘wag na lang kasi akong pakikialaman!”

These are our usual lines.   Without us being aware,  we are actually  resisting positive efforts which may not make us feel good just like being in that “dark room” — but if only we would allow ourselves to “enjoy the experience of being loved” just like that negative film soaked into chemical, we would soon become that beautifully printed picture ever captured because we responded “in cooperation” with that goal to “bring out the BEST in US”!

From negative to positive … Film Developing is Living Life to the Fullest!

The Invisible Essential

Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education.
ECE 111. Early Childhood Curriculum
Shall you have all the opportunity to CRAFT a Curriculum for the young generation, what would you be willing to GIVE?

It takes a happy heart to build a well-founded school
for our future generation.

The way we look at things are affected by the way we feel! …  Would you believe so?
‘Wanna try if such contention could be true?
didache, life is like a box of chocolates, i care, candle-light, exhaust system
What catches your attention first would determine how you feel at the moment!

Take a look at this picture … what then did you first see?; what element captured your attention at your first glance? … and doing some self-check of how you feel, what does your choice indicate?

Sometimes, we just can’t find enough motivation to find a spot for whatever emotion there is deep within us — thus, we need to identify: are we filled or drained? happy or sad? up or down? inspired or tired?
We may need to look around and find some sure identification of our state of emotion. Why? … because the way we feel would always affect the way we deal with others.  Our perspectives would more often than not be influenced by the kind of feeling that we have — and on the other hand, our emotion would moreso determine up to what extent we would work on the fulfilment of our Philosophy, Vision and Mission.
At a quite dangerous side, our undefined emotions may stagnate our supposedly  healthy perception of each child — to the point that we may misinterpret what we just see instead of appreciate and look into what we do not see.
What then is there to realize for us to be able to give the best that we could?
What then should we do to build a well-founded school for our future generation?

Waterproof Faith.

#DearPopeFrancis, PopeFrancisPH, waterproof faith,
Yes #DearPopeFrancis, I am Personally ONE WITH YOU!

Please read: Mark 1: 14-2

IaMPOSSIBLE!

17 Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

18 Then they abandoned their nets and followed him.

… sana ganito din ang response ng mga tinatawag para sumama at makinig!

Sa totoong buhay kasi, HINDI MADALIng magyaya ng mga taong pwedeng maki-isa sayo –

not evenwithin the family – to be with you in the same net!

Despite some changing of minds & discouragements against my desire TO BE THERE in Luneta Park-Quirino Grandstand last Sunday, the ONLY CHOICE I HAD was to tell myself: “I AM POSSIBLE!” … until all by myself @ past 3am, I had to walk-through the re-routes along Roxas Boulevard back to Maria Orosa then to Taft Avenue for main entrance and stand-still among the approximately 6M people who desired to have a PERSONAL ENCOUNTER with our Dear Pope Francis for the concluding part of His Pastoral Journey. I was supposed to meet-up my younger sister & bro in law amidst that emerging sea of believers but network signal was cut-off just before we succeeded being together in one quadrant.

Sa totoong buhay, scenarios like these may discourage us. Of course, who would want to be alone in the middle of such a very big crowd, and who would boldly wait for hours while you’re nowhere to hide from the non-stop rain which didn’t give you the choice to remain seated for you’ll get so wet all over? And so true, there may be some speck of wanting to just give up & just go back home to your family – BUT THEN NO! – for in His message during the Meeting with Families in MOA Arena, our Holy Father urged that since there are many threats within the family:

“We must rise from our slumber! We must get up and act!”

He wants a sheep against the wolves that are approaching, particularly our tendency to get trapped in materialism which is destructive of family life. True enough, we may unawaringly experience “isolation and divisions” within our famiy; and sometimes, human and vulnerable as we are, we may just feel too weak to just “let things be”!

BUT THEN AGAIN NO! Lolo Kiko said that “The future passes from the family” & today’s gospel could be an affirmation of our responsibility that the very first place “to fish” is within our family. However, if we find it difficult, there’s got to be somebody to take the initiative to make the family protected against ideological colonization which may eventually separate us.

Reason may not understand what the heart perceives. YES, I “persisted” to be there not to make history with the 6M crowd with “waterproof faith” but to LISTEN UPCLOSE to God’s message through His Holiness & “offer my presence from dawn to sunset as an ounce of sacrifice for my family’s intentions” – for in my heart 15 “This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” #sunset

“Maximize, We Don’t Have Forever!”

Cor Dei 45. 30Nov2014, 1st Sunday of Advent

Let’s open our heart for today’s Gospel: Mark 13:33-37

1st Sunday of Advent, Light of Jesus Family, Gospel Reflection, God's message, maximise opportunity, understanding God's silence, Mark 13:33-37
“maximize every opportunity” … to TELL & UNDERSTAND … and be God’s messenger 🙂

“Walang Tulugan!”

I would always love that scene:

Each time i would see my dad & mom at my side & front mirrors, standing in front of their gate, looking to my direction until i’ve driven almost at the end of their street.

Ang sarap nilang tingnan … ang saya sa pakiramdam!

‘Yong alam mong naging masaya sila dahil we’ve been with them.

Then i would always tell myself, “sana walang isang araw na walang naghahatid sa akin ng tingin” hanggang almost sa dulo ng street where i grew up and unleashed myself as the person that they want me to be.

Kung pwede nga lang, araw-araw namin silang nadadalaw, araw-araw nakakakwentuhan, araw-araw hugs and himas sa likod — just to at least ease their longings na sana nandon kami lagi for them.

This is one of my greatest fear!

“You do not know when the time will come!”

— that at this very moment, how i want to “clone myself” so that i can both be a daughter by my parents’ side all the time while i continue to be a striving wife and mom to my own family.

In my “child mode” today: how i want to maximize time with my parents for they are not getting any younger! I want to stay awake taking care of them; supposedly looking into their every need even if they keep on saying that they are still strong, seeing the joy in their eyes and hearing the happiness in their laughters everytime we would spend few bonding hours with them. That “feeling of being remembered & regarded importan still” amidst our super busy scheds & multi-tasks — i know will never be enough to be in gratitude to the fact that — when as a child, we didn’t had everything that we wanted — none of those material luxuries — but every amount of sacrifice and love which were not perfectly delivered all throughout those growing up years with my four siblings — that was all that we had until we become the persons that we are!

I hope to make them feel how much appreciation there is in my heart for them while I am also grabbing every opportunity to be at my best for my husband & kids and for my spiritual community: my friends, my students & those who can relate with my every “striving” to relay God’s silence.

“35 So stay awake, because you do not know when the master of the house is coming, evening, midnight, cockcrow or dawn; 36 if he comes unexpectedly, he must not find you asleep.”

Bottomline po brothers & sisters, whatever MODE we are in right now, God is reminding us today that we’ve got to: “maximize giving our BEST”; “learn to understand MOST” the things that we have no control of; and humbly strive to be “lifted high” in FAITH in whatever ways we could — so that we won’t have to cry over some spoiled chances when the unexpected arrives.

And along with this, we CONGRATULATE our Feast Builder Bro Jon Escoto for a powerful Talk & our Feast Binan & Sta. Rosa TEAM for maximizing an awesome experience of being “LIFTED HIGH” as volunteer servants & attendees in last week’s successful KCon 2014 🙂

Dangerous Tendencies!
Feel God’s Message in this  Gospel:  MT 20:1-16

Sabi nila, “Money is the root of all evil!”

… but not until we could reflect on today’s gospel: The Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard.

11When they received their pay [as they expected to receive more],

they began to grumble against the landowner…

13 “But he answered one of them, ‘I am not being unfair to you, friend.

Didn’t you agree to work for a denarius?

14 Take your pay and go! I want to give the one who was hired last, the same as I gave you.

Question: Paano ba tayo “TUMATANGGAP” kapag may nagbibigay sa atin???

Isn’t it that we are most of the time “unaware” of the manifestations of our actions kasi may mga dala-dala tayong “baggage” na galing pa sa “kung saan” at ‘di na ma-identify “kung kailan” pa natin ito sinumulang dalhin!??

‘Yong TOTOO: “EVIL roots up when we don’t strive to LIVE in accordance to God’s will!” – that is: when we Self-Indulge in-Negativity –  we S-I-N!

“Nakakatanggap ka naman pero ang sabi mo “di ka napapasaya” ng mga taong nagbibigay sayo – alam mo kung bakit?

— kasi “JEALOUS” ka at pilit mong ayaw tingnan ang mga bagay na dapat mong makita!”

“Are you envious because I am generous? Matthew 20:15

There is ENVY when the Self capitalizes on the “I”-“me”-“myself” tendencies. We plunge too much into our “desire” to get what we want, resentful over what others have — to the point of being too demanding of attention from the people whom we thought are the ones responsible for our happiness — and  before we knew it, we no longer discern that we are already making ourselves guilty of COVETOUSNESS.

We are all workers in God’s vineyard!

Our labour should be “of love” — when we intend to “extend understanding” and “let live” like the generous landowner!

While we work, we may have “baggages” which may be DANGEROUS and may hinder us from fulfilling our “sense of satisfaction”.  Let’s check it out and unload the unnecessary  – for it not to be the root of UNFORTUNATE events in our life!

So friend, nakakarelate ka po ba?

God wants to repair your past … kaya nandyan pa din yong mga tao whom He assigned TO MISSION OUT ON YOU – if you will only open up your heart to such intention, you will never have to mis-interpret every bit of “striving hard” na ginagawa nila — dahil “PARA SAYO YON!”

Mahal na mahal ka ni God, “CHOOSY KA PA!”

YOU WILL NEVER APPRECIATE UNLESS YOU “LOOK-INTO-WHAT YOU ARE RECEIVING”

Yong pagiging “self-centered” mo, dapat “thing of the past na yan”!

STRIVE TO MOVE-ON KA NAMAN! We don’t have forever, reminder lang po!

DANGEROUS YA’AN if you will continue capitalizing on your “I” in the middle of S & N!
