Would you know one of the reasons why some wounds don’t heal?

May mga sugat na halos ayaw mong gamutin kasi masakit kapag nililinis; to the point na magagalit ka pa sa naglilinis ng sugat mo kasi nasasaktan ka!

We have doctors all around to tell us how to heal our wound; we have nurses to assist and loved ones to care for us while we’re hurting…yet we end up offending them; we don’t listen to the doctor’s instructions because we’ve focused on our pain and we kept on doing the wrong thing.

What we do not realize is, we can actually HEAL OUR OWN WOUND if we would be brave enough to CLEAN IT UP BY OURSELVES by following how we were instructed.

In today’s Gospel, God  wants us to understand His intention for giving us His commandments which He yearn to be fulfilled in us. All that He expects is for us is to strive to do the right thing: overcome negativity with possibilities; triumph against every temptation to be weak; reach out to forgive those who’ve offended us and look within to forgive our own self from our wrong doings.

Our heart is the seat of our motivations. If only we will find that inspiration deep within to allow God’s love to move in our life, we would then comply as directed, follow as instructed! We won’t have to hold back the pains caused upon us, as we will no longer offend carelessly – then we wont have to endure our wounds at all! #sunset

Do not take a false oath, but make good to the Lord all that you vow.  But I say to you, do not swear at all.  Let your ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes,’and your ‘No’ mean ‘No.’  Anything more is from the evil one.”

OVERCOME YOUR FOCUS!

Pls Read God’s Silent Message: Mark 6:1-6

HINDI OPTION ANG SUMUKO!

Divide Single-Mindedness!

Ang dami-dami nating pwedeng makita kung hindi lang tayo nakatitig sa iISA!

Ang dami nating pwedeng maramdaman kung hindi lang iisang pakiramdam ang gusto nating pagbigyan.

…come to think of it, there are a lot of wonderful things, people & situations na dapat nating mapansin from sunrise to sunset … isama na natin ‘yong pagbangon natin sa madaling a raw:  even with our eyes closed, alam natin na naandyan pa din ‘yong family natin — na despite some imperfections ay  pwede pa din nating maging dahilan kung bakit tayo bumabangon; at si God, ang daming inihandang opportunities para sa atin sa loob ng buong maghapon.

Problem lang is …

we never get to see those wonders kasi we opted to FOCUS our attention to our own assumptions which make us feel that we’ve got to do a lot of “proving our SELF” to people whom we think “never appreciate us!”

we are NOT AWARE of our OWN SHORTCOMINGS because we keep on FINGER-POINTING that our pains are all because of what others have done.

Kaya naman in effect …

we are no longer aware na ‘yong totoo, tayo yong hindi na nakaka-appreciate sa mga pagre-reach out na ginagawa ng iba towards us.

Today, let’s strive to DIVIDE OUR “SINGLE-MINDEDNESS”! Let’s not be too focused on the “not so favourable things” that are happening around us; neither on the self-concept that we are neglected by whatever cause – kasi ang totoo, even Jesus was despised by His own relatives and we couldn’t imagine how “painful” it was … but because He stood by the truth that He is PURE IN HIS INTENTIONS, He kept on reaching out to those who are “close-minded” – all because HE LOVES GENEROUSLY WITHOUT ANY AMOUNT OF PRETENCE!  #sunset

Fever!

Please LISTEN to God’s Silence in this Gospel: Mark 1:29-39

As soon as they left the synagogue, they entered the house of Simon and Andrew with James and John. Now Peter’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they told Jesus about her at once. Jesus took her by the hand and lifted her up. Then the fever left her, and she began to serve them.

Jesus has been healing people back then. When He heals, he does “beyond the physical illness”.

Healing the blind is giving one the opportunity to see from perspectives the real beauty of life around him.  Healing the lame is making him walk through life without being dependent on others.  Healing those with leprosies is cleansing them from the different unclean spirits which keep one’s life in sorrow … and a lot more stories of healing!

Jesus wants to heal us forevermore — and today, using His 1st Woman Disciple’s story in the person of Peter’s mother-in-law, He healed her “fever”! — that situation which kept her stagnant, not having the urge to get up from where she was because of loss of appetite, dehydration, general weakness and the likes.

Along life’s hurries and flurries, we may at times experience this “fever” when we loss appetite in doing good, when we feel too tired to overcome the negative emotions that maybe pulling us down; we may feel generally weak to fight over some materialistic tendencies; we may routinely feel “cold” in our relationships specially against those who’ve been striving to care for us yet we neglect; we may have increased heart rate due to our tendencies to be “reactive” most of the times … and all the other symptoms …

Today, Jesus wants our fever to leave us … Just as the mother-in-law responded and begun serving, we are also expected to have that same “willingness” to be “lifted up by Jesus” if only we change our perspectives in life.

Let’s Please, grab this healing today … If we feel too sick, then be BOLD! Dare To Ask God for The Impossible! ©sunset

Metanoia

Please read: Mark 1:7-11

11 And a voice came from heaven:

“You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

… ganon pala talaga … ikakasiya ng isang magulang ang anak na marunong magpakumbaba, umunawa, mag-sacrifice in cooperation with a goal for a common good and the most pleasing sa pakiramdam: “if a child LISTENS with the HEART” and manifests uprightness even beyond what’s told & expected.

For sure, having heard those lines from His Father, Jesus could’ve initially felt “accomplished” passing that test, when in all humility he submitted himself to be baptized by John who’s been proclaiming that after him comes “the one more powerful”–Mark 1:7.

Very ideal, isn’t it?

Though “sinless” he underwent “baptism” –- a symbolic breakthrough: an acceptance of “deviating from his private life” & “directing toward his public life” — to commence His sacrificial journey “as human like us” — to cooperate and to yield to His Father’s Will which He all willingly vowed to as a MISSION to TELL THE WORLD OF GOD’S LOVE, all the days of his life.

Pero ang tanong, KAYA din kaya natin maging isang “Jesus na anak”?Can we also GIVE-IN to our parents’ will – not really for their sake – but for the sake of “being baptized” in 2015?

If Jesus has been “human in nature: thought with a human mind, felt with a human heart, worked with human hands” – yet did not sin against his Father and kept his “willingness” focused on the “oneness” of his mission with that of his Father’s … WHY NOT na KAYA DIN NATIN?

change of heart, God's heart, thankful heart
God sees our heart & sees if we could have a change of heart

As the NEW Year has just started off with a “January” in reference to JANUS: the two-faced Roman god of doors who have the ability to turn one face to reflect upon the past and a yet another face freshly pointed upon the future, we’ve got to AFFIRM our humility to “assess our SELF & relationships” in 2014 and CLAIM THE POWER to be NEW & BETTER in 2015.

If upon reflection you’ve sensed that YOU would again be DEFENSELESS, then BE BOLD in STRIVING STILL! Dare To Ask God for The Impossible – by then, God will be pleased with you too – because your “striving for ways & means” is an indication that “you’ve already accomplished your “Metanoia” – a “change of heart” for God! 🙂 #sunset

We Can “Heal Our Own Pain!”

parental love, youth today, time, sacrifices, happiness, self effort, importance of time,
…if only we would realize…it’s all up to us!

We Can Heal our Own Pain! by: Gail S. Montero

Feel God’s Message in Today’s Gospel:  John 3:13-17

What about some “self-talk” at this point?

Galit ka kasi nagtatampo ka? … since when?                                                  At bakit ka naman po nagtampo? – “tampo lang” ba or “galit na” kasi nagtagal na?

How many times did you have such kind of feeling?                              UNTIL WHEN do you plan to hold on to that “grudge” within you?

‘yong totoo … how many times na ‘yong sama ng loob mo,  inalagaan mo …Pero what about ‘yong sakit ng damdamin na na-create mo sa iba dahil di mo sila napakinggan dyan sa puso mo?

Sabi mo “GUSTO MO NA MAGING MASAYA!”???                                         Eh what did you do? What part did you take?  — MAKE-UP? or BREAK-UP?

“Lord, sana they will understand me!” – OR –                                                   “Lord, sana I will understand them!” – alin dito ang prayer mo?

Ang maintindihan tayo,  at ang tayo ang umintindi;                               ‘yong magpatawad tayo, at tayo ‘yong humingi ng tawad kasi nagpakumbaba tayo – this, supposedly will HEAL WHATEVER PAIN! – pero ‘still difficult if one or the other does not want to go down to the level of reconciliation dahil mas binigyan ng focus ang sariling paniniwala: “self-inflicted pains”!

What hinders the PAIN from healing is because “WE KEEP ON KEEPING THE TRUTH”. We don’t tell stories to each other;  we don’t listen to each other’s hurts; we find it korny lifting one another’s spirit & we are not there for another’s triumphs – because we’d rather be with somebody else. We make ourselves “strangers” from one another INSIDE OUR FAMILY – and the remnants, as well as unsettled issues in the past have its way of “haunting us”!

Happiness is A DECISION!                                                                                    One can never be … if we keep on demanding things to be perfectly at our favor.

If we want to be happy, we’ve also got to give our amount of understanding to the imperfect person from whom we expect that much!

With the “lifting of the Cross” to put Jesus to death in our commemoration of today’s Gospel,  God hopes to make us realize na minsan, hindi na ang mga pagkukulang ng kung sino man sa pamilya ang dapat nating titigan.

If we can only open our heart to the pureness of intention,  we would realize that those agony & “sacrifices” na pinagdaanan ng mga taong nagmamahal sa atin should be “more than enough” to give us “HEALING RELATIONSHIPS”.

parenting, appreciation, happiness, pure intention, sacrifices, agony
Parents’ sacrifices could have been enough!

‘yong sabi nating “GUSTO NATING MAGING MASAYA”… sana hindi natin iasa sa iba kung paano — kasi TAYO ANG DAPAT MAG-WORK OUT NITO SA SARILI NATIN!

What we prefer doing shows how much we love. God gave His only begotten Son just to prove to us that LOVE is beyond the material things which we mostly prefer to get – a miracle that we can perform to HEAL OUR PAIN! #sunset
